Material
Case Type A: Mild Steel case galvanised, with Stainless Steel tape
Case Type B: Brass case with Stainless Steel tape (for specially corrosive conditions)
Balancing Capacity
A range of 9 varying capacities from 1.8 to 13.6Kg per pair of balances can be obtained, as shown in above table.
Note: Bottom (1) Exit is supplied as standard with Type W Attachment. Side (2) Exit is supplied as standard with Type X Attachment. You may choose other attachments if you wish.
Travel
Maximum travel is 900mm (39"). Constant force is only maintained over 609mm (24") travel. When travel exceeds 609mm (24") then it may be necessary to fit catches to ensure the sash stays in position. Longer tapes can be fitted to a maximum retracting length of 1778mm (70") beyond this length will simply allow the balance to be mounted further away from sash.
Other Info.
The "adjustable spring balance" offers varying load capacity for many counterbalancing applications. Used extensively for window counterbalancing and window replacement in both wood and plastic, suitable for upward rising and full drop windows, louvre sashes, service hatches and self closing doors. The unique design offers a stainless steel spring which operates smoothly and silently to give a perfect action.
