Within their mechanical drive components catalogue, Ondrives Ltd. offer a large range of split cotter and retaining pins as standard, the company states.

Cotter pins are made to DIN94 and are also equal to ISO1234 and BS1574. They are available to suit hole diameters of just 1.0mm right up to 12.0mm in steel, and 1.0mm up to 6.3mm in stainless. Lengths vary from 6mm to 160mm, so there’s sure to be something to suit every need! Steel pins can be zinc plated or phosphate coated, but since such finishes cannot be applied to the inside faces of the pin, only stainless cotter pins can be recommended where full corrosion resistance is needed.

Retaining pins, or ‘R’ clips as they are sometimes known, are available in both single and double coil versions and are zinc plated spring steel as standard. Single coil pins are more commonly used and double coil pins can be ordered for the more demanding of applications. Stainless single coil pins are available in some sizes if required, please contact sales for details.
