Shims and spring washers are just one of the many products offered by mechanical drive components’ specialist, Ondrives Ltd of Chesterfield.

The shims are a wide and varying range and sizes start from 3mm bore diameter increasing up to 170mm. Material is DIN988 PS steel St2 K60 oiled finish as standard and the minimum line charge for stock items is just £5.00. There is also a range of precision stainless shims for pre-load bearings available in a much smaller selection of sizes, from 2.25mm to 16.40mm bore diameter. They have a flat stainless steel execution with the edges radiussed, heat treated and the surface fine finished.

Spring washers are included in this product selection as they are very similar to the stainless shims in that they are also precision stainless units designed for pre-load bearings. They are heat treated and without burr for the smoothest surface quality. Sizes range from a minute 2.15mm bore upto 16.20mm as standard.
