ONDRIVES LAUNCHES NEW 2011 GEAR PRODUCTS CATALOGUE
|
Ondrives Ltd has once more updated their extensive gear range with the launch of a new gears and gearboxes catalogue in February 2011. This culminates months of hard work by Ondrives' staff who have ensured the catalogue is the best it can be.
The range includes, amongst others, extra bore options on E30, E40, E50 & E60 crossed axis helical type gearboxes – all manufactured in-house to exacting standards. This is in response to customer demand for more bore options to be readily available and has been taken on board by the Ondrives' technical sales and CNC milling departments, with prototypes made and built to ensure every option is possible.
Cast iron and titanium precision spur gears have also been added to the precision range of gears along with larger sized cast iron wormwheels to offer customers the option of even more standard materials when applications deem it necessary.
A large range of Simplex, Duplex and Triplex sprockets and chains have also been introduced to complement this power transmission product range. These start at 6mm and increase to 50.8mm going up in all the most popular increments to cover a wide range of sizes.
The company thought it wise to include this large portfolio of products as part of our power transmission series in order to fully complete the range and offer our customers the widest range of the most popular sizes whilst still remaining at our core, a family business that knows it's strengths are in it's customer service.
Many new, clearer and updated diagrams have been added to the gearbox pages to ensure higher clarity detail for the end user. The most up-to-date 2D and 3D CAD drawing systems have been used to create these with another workstation added recently to further enhance the technical drawing department. As always, they are happy to help with any special requirements you may have and will be happy to provide a line or assembly drawing on request when an order is placed.
3mm HTD pulleys have also been added to further enhance the range of timing belts and pulleys available so that once again, a wide range of the most popular sizes are covered by Ondrives, power transmission specialist and manufacturer of a wide range of in-house produced, precision engineered gears and gearboxes..

ONDRIVES CAST IRON PRECISION SPUR GEAR RANGE
|
Ondrives Ltd have recently extended their precision spur gear range by adding cast iron (GG25) to the already wide variety of materials available as standard.
Cast iron spur gears are available in 1.5 to 3 Mod with between 18 to 50 teeth being the norm. Generally, only the bigger sizes call for something like cast iron and Ondrives have designed these gears with this in mind.
All are made to exacting standards being made in-house at Ondrives' extensive CNC facility, and as part of the precision gear range, are the perfect addition to the series.
Cast iron has been chosen by Ondrives as it offers good strength and wear resistance, making it an excellent choice for those applications that deem these properties necessary. Cast iron is widely used in a large variety of engineering applications and this makes it a popular choice given it's resistance to destruction and weakening usually caused by rust.
Other materials available as standard are 817M40T (28 HRC) steel, 805M20 case hardened (58 HRC) steel, 303 and 316 stainless steel, PEEK GF 30®, Delrin POM, titanium and skive hobbed versions.
Customers are invited to send in any special requests whether it be for unusual materials and/or sizes to their drawings. All quotes are done on a quick turnaround and a no-obligation basis.

ONDRIVES TITANIUM PRECISION SPUR GEAR RANGE
|
Ondrives Ltd. have launched a range of Titanium precision spur gears into its latest power transmission catalogue (see above).
This is just one of an extensive new range of power transmission products made specially for this catalogue. The company is constantly updating our gear range in order to make them as extensive as possible, offering customers more choice than ever in terms of materials, types and sizes.
Titanium has been chosen by Ondrives as it has a low density and is a strong, lustrous, corrosion-resistant material with a silver colour making it pleasing to the eye where applications deem it necessary.
The two most useful properties of the metal are it's corrosion-resistance and the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal. Unalloyed, titanium is as strong as some steels, but 45% lighter in weight making it ideal for lightweight applications. The titanium precision spur gear range is one in particular, that Ondrives are especially proud of in terms of the quality and finish of the product when making prototypes. They start at 0.5 Module going up to 1.5 as standard with larger sizes planned for the future.
All are made to Quality Grade 7e DIN 58405 (AGMA Q11) with other grades available on request. Teeth numbers start at 20 going up to 250 and different bore sizes, tapped holes, pin holes and keyways are all optional extras available. Ondrives are happy to quote to customers' special requirements where necessary and offer a free technical advice service on a no-obligation basis.
