Rack & Pinion Actuator

Ondrives manufacture their own range of miniature rack and pinion actuator boxes from their manufacturing facility.
The boxes are manufactured from a hard anodised aluminium (their signature red colour) housing with high carbon steel rack and pinions. There are five different sizes available as standard, all with average backlash of 2 º. Length of travel starts at just 10mm going up to 30mm as standard, with special lengths or travel available on request. All are greased for life with Shell Nerita Grease HV.
With output shaft diameters starting at 6mm to 20mm, and inputs range from 5mm to 15mm, there is sure to be something to suit everyone’s requirements, the company states. For bigger and longer actuation (up to 500mm rack), this can be accommodated with the Drylin range of TS & TW linear rails.
