Ondrives' flexible couplings cover a multitude of different applications and environments and they offer a wide range available for the customer.

The range offered includes double disc flexible couplings, universal joints, Oldhams, 6 beam spiral-beams and bellows flexible types, amongst others. The range is designed to suit the smaller application needs with outside diameters ranging from just 6.35mm up to 63mm and bores from 3mm up to 30mm. Bore reducers in either brass or aluminium are also available to fit into bores where modified smaller bores are not possible.

Universal joints are particularly suitable for transmission of power where a high number of revolutions are required. There are several different types of universal joints available, one of which includes needle roller single and double types to DIN808-W standard with low backlash and sealed bearings. Their maximum speed is 4000rpm, although other torques at different speeds and angles are possible. Smaller bores, keyways, square bores, hexagons, shorter lengths, quick release types and rubber covers are all available to buy on request.

One of the most popular ranges in this range is the bellows flexible type which can act as a supporting part for a stepping motor enabling detection of point of origin. They are zero backlash and have high torsional stiffness and response. They also offer complete absorption of eccentricity, angularity and end play by spring action of the bellows configuration. They have uniform rotational speed, even under mis-alignment with identical clockwise and anti-clockwise rotational characteristics. They are maintenance free, oil and chemical resistant, the company states.
