Ondrives offer a wide range of universal joints from their mechanical drive components catalogue. They are particularly useful for the transmission of power in the case of a higher number of revolutions.

The range encompasses needle roller universal joints which are to DIN808-W and are low backlash with sealed bearings. They are available in either single or double types as standard in steel 9SMn Pb36k. Outside diameters start at 20mm going to 95mm and lengths vary from 88mm to 290mm. Smaller bores, keyways, square and hexagon bores, shorter lengths and quick release types are all available as specials where required.

Other joints in the series include hardened pin types to DIN 808-G in steel and they need to be well lubricated in operation. They are recommended fitted with PVC rubber covers filled with grease or for adverse conditions, high speed and angle forced oil lubrication may be needed.

A new addition to the range are the quick release needle roller universal joints which have a forged centre cross with hard ground ends for needle bearings. These can also be used with protective rubber covers, available as standard from the range. Rubber covers are made from oil resisting synthetic elasticate rubber making them resilient to water and weather.

There is also a range of hand operation joints only which are very popular as they are low cost, efficient at low speeds and the majority kept in stock. Both steel and stainless are available in single and double versions.

Completing the range are the precision series in both steel and stainless along with a 316 type stainless, DIN808-G & W telescopic as well as a hand operated version of telescopic joints which have unhardened pins and are for hand motion only.
