Ondrives offer spherical bearings and bushings as standard products.

CSS Type Steel Self Lubricating Spherical BearingsSpherical bearings offered as standard include a Uniflon® self lubricating type which is available in 9 different sizes from 3mm up to 18mm bore and have a stainless steel housing, hardened and ground stainless ball and Uniflon®E liner in between the housing and the liner. Other self-lube spherical bearings are the CSS type which are maintenance free, have a high load capacity, are wear resistant and a low constant rotational resistance, stick slip free.

GE-ES Type Steel on Steel Spherical BushingsAlso available in the same range are a range of steel-on-steel spherical bushings which are self-aligning spherical plain bushings which have inner and outer with spherical sliding surfaces, and take a large radial load and a bi-directional load at the same time.

Maintenance free spherical bushings consist of an outer ring which has a special PTFE liner reinforced with a copper alloy mesh on the sliding surface, and a spherical inner ring of which sliding surface has hard chromium plating. Creep deformation due to compressive load is small, and wear resistance is superior. Thus, they have a long life and can be used for extended periods of time without relubrication. They are especially suitable in cases where fixed directional loads are applied and are used mainly in food processing machines and construction machinery and in other applications in which the use of oil is undesirable or lubrication is not possible.
