Other Info.
The rubber elastomer outer covering tolerates thermal expansion as well as roughness in the housing bore. There will be no fretting corrosion. Damage of the housing bore will be prevented when frequently replacing the seal. This qualifies for sealing gaseous or liquid media.
Prices available on request for seals manufactured from Viton rubber which is suitable for a greater operating temperature range: -30°C to to +200°C
Temperature ranges dependent on elements in contact, eg. oil, grease.
Recommended fitting is to shaft h9 (min 45HRC) (1 to 4 Ra) (20° lead in Chf) & housing H8 (5° to 10° lead in Chf)
