Wormwheel Gearbox
The OFG40 is available with shaft inputs from 5Nm to 18Nm in ratios varying from 5:1 up to 120:1 as standard with other special ratios available on request. There is a separate breather supplied loose with the gearbox to be installed by the end user with the typical breather configuration being on top of the gearbox. Optional breather configurations are available by special request.
The units measure 129mm only from shaft to shaft and so offer a viable option for small and confined spaces. Other advantages include high duty cycles compared to a grease filled gearbox and a higher specification on the sealing of the unit as well as corrosion resistance of the natural hard anodised aluminium casing.
They are standard with a hardened worm and therefore lower backlash with the reduced backlash version being made with ultra-precise matched worm wheel sets.

Ondrives launched the new PF-DU DC motorised worm and wheel reduction gearbox into their 2005 product range.
They are fitted with high end 24v DC motors which when operating at 12v DC, ensure good torque and speed characteristics. They are available in ratios from 10:1 to 120:1 as standard with fitted motors. Due to the quality of the motors, Ondrives are able to offer variations on this, including encoders and brakes fitted to these motors. This allows Ondrives to offer gearboxes tailored to more specific applications, capable of moulding their products to your needs.
The gearboxes and motors are also available to purchase as separate components, allowing total flexibility for customer's applications. Ondrives can also design and supply the gearboxes to accept customer's motors.
Suitable applications include medical and pharmaceutical industries, scanning machines and general OEM work. They are always available to purchase in small or large volume quantities.

Ondrives added the PREM6 Gearbox to their range in 2005 offering a miniature 90 degree gearbox & motor combination.
The gearbox is based on the popular right angle models and is supplied with or without a 2.6Nm DC permanent magnet miniature motor. The total weight of the unit is 24g making it ideal for applications where weight or space is an issue. Having a 3mm output shaft and 6mm centre distance, the ratio is standard at 32:1 & the voltage is 12V, 272mA (2.5 watts run at 6vDC). The gearbox size is only 12mm x 13.5mm x 18.75mm high and when combined with the motor adds only a further 31.5mm onto the length (being only 13mm in diameter), making it ideal for confined spaces.
